Exhilarating, pulsing, and fun, these self-proclaimed post-modernists have created a record that will totally blow your freaking mind - if you let it. In scope, these guys are like a punk rock Pink Floyd, or a disco-driven Mars Volta, but with a self-effacing, tongue-in-cheek sensibility that makes them instantly endearing. Like Say Anything's ..Is a Real Boy, CG&G is a send-up to the very music that Felix Sarco is creating - at once mocking their overdone melodramaticism and embracing it fully. In fact, they take on their sometimes silly, in-your-face ouvre so wholeheartedly, that if you let go, you just might forget that there's any irony at all on the record, and find yourself, hands in the air, dancing like your bedroom is some retro-futuristic hipster discotheque until your girlfriend comes home and makes fun of you for a week following. I mean - not like that happened to me.  I'm just saying it might happen. To you. Not me.
